Whole-parish DPA Partly designated (“by maps”) Hover a parish for its name.

Indicative overview, not a per-plot answer. Parishes are matched by name and the boundaries are generalised for a national view, so treat this as a guide. For a specific property — and for “by maps” parishes where only part of the parish is designated — check the exact address and the official Homes England map.

What this map shows

Designated Protected Areas are the (mostly rural) parishes where grant-funded Shared Ownership leases can cap staircasing at 80% and add resale conditions, to keep homes affordable for local people. They’re defined in law by the 2009 Order (SI 2009/2098). This map shades the parishes designated in full (green) and those designated only in part — “by maps” (amber).
